Well, finally some good news: DW has a brand new partnership with McDonald's (McD's finally finished out the Disney deal which they wanted out of anyway) for the next few years. The first film that will be released with a Happy Meal is Shrek 3. Also, DW will let McDonald's use their facilities to make commericals in which DW characters actually interact with....Ronald McDonald! (but he won't appear in any of the movies ).
I think this will help DW a lot when it comes to promotion and marketing.
BTW yesterday I thought I was hallucinating when I happened to see "Jepeordy!" and one of the categories was "Radio Disney". What the....?
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!
I don't think it was exclusive to DW the way the Disney-McD's one was. (Wasn't Robots promoted in Burger King or something?) The Disney-McD's one was drawn up to last ten years (very rare in itself) and now the time has run out. But the DW-McD's deal isn't exclusive either, so Disney might still promote films with McD's in the future.
Kinda confusing....

You have to remember, also, that Disney always had a steady stream of product, be it the animated films or live-action family flicks, that they could draw on.
Going back to DWs small slates, they only have one or two big animated films a year, and fairly little live-action family pictures.

...aaand Shark Tale ?
Remember that annoying talking shrimp?
Hooow (un)original
Actually, that was my favourite part of the film. It's a shame the rest of the film was so poor. That's making me dubious about this picture. I may see this next week. I have nobody to go and see it, but I may drag my brother into the cinema to see it. He's not a big fan of animation (he claims ), but I'll try to make him follow me.

Geffen is over on the left, kinda trying to be included and look interested, and Steve's over the far side, stuck in the dark behind the construction crane and looking really miffed.
All the while, JK is pointing stuff out and laying out the plans. Funny...
