What is Brave? /Film thinks it is either a new name for The Bear and the Bow, or a new Brave Little Toaster project.Pete Doctor wrote:Once in a while, we're at these meetings where we all look at Toy Story 3 or Brave or whatever and we all give comments and notes, but that's just like a day here or there.

In an interview with Coming Soon, Pete Doctor commented:
Nothing on IMDb, but I'll entertain theories that TB2 might be considering a title change at some point--
Pixar had its title back when a princess and a frog didn't have an ampersand in their title, and Lasseter traditionally worries about one studio's product being confused for another's.
If it is a new short, though, that's good too.
(Although I keep thinking "Brave" suggests "native" so we may just have to see.)

Turns out Brave is an internal name for The Bear and the Bow, according to The Pixar Blog.
That was my assumption. But that is exciting. Man I'm excited for somethingthat won't be happening for years.Josh wrote:Turns out Brave is an internal name for The Bear and the Bow, according to The Pixar Blog.

Seems like it's more than an internal name - it's going to be a straight re-naming?
I really liked 'The Bear and the Bow', but ah well :p.
