Disney Pixar's Onward
Re: Disney Pixar's Onward
Fatherhood, surely!?
Re: Disney Pixar's Onward
That works too, though I like my riff more.

I agree. Does the half dad know what's going on? And love them?Daniel wrote: October 10th, 2019, 7:39 pmI'm... actually less interested now...The whole half of dad aspect just seems a little too wacky...

Re: Disney Pixar's Onward
I believe so. The shoe tap alone spoke volumes. Still a little weird, but I'm really curious to see where they go with it.

Third and likely final trailer:
Like how the mother seems to have an active role. That's different and unexpected.

Merchandise is starting to appear. Lots of cute stuff.

Japanese trailer:
Lovely song, but a very different beast!
I spy one cultural difference. The tape merely says DAD in the US, wonder what's written in Kanji since it looks a little wordy. Father? Daddy? Hmm..

Re: Disney Pixar's Onward
The larger text on the cassette says zenryoku shōnen .. roughly, "Determined Youth" (which is the title of the song being played in the trailer).
The smaller text says sukima suitchi, or Sukima Switch -- who is the artist singing the song.

Interesting, thanks. Maybe it was just done for the trailer? Wonder what it will say in the actual film.
Re: Disney Pixar's Onward
The cassette in the actual japanese version of the movie would probably be labeled お父さん (otōsan), which is "father".
It might also be パパ (papa), which would be more roughly equivalent to the less-formal "dad".

Disney is being sued by an artist over the van. Good luck with that.

That bro hug alone. Wow.

Brandi Carlile to sing end credit song. Don't know of her, but like the sound of the song.
