I think it wouldn't have sunk into legend so much if the people making it had actually seen the film and thus found out what Ratatouille WAS? (Uh, it wasn't the character's name?)
Anyway, this is the late, unlamented Brazilian company (in the land of sun and heat) that's since gone under.
Most current Pixaren'ts, like "TrollLand", "CarGo" and "Homeward" are made by...yep: The Asylum. The producers of "Avengers Grimm", "Atlantic Rim: Resurrection" and "Battle Star Wars".
Because A) they have their own CGI computer, and B) they think they, of all people, have a "tradition" to uphold.
Although even that pales before the most bizarre of them all: Gravitas' "Haunted Transylvania 2" (& 3)
Now, from the title, let alone the cover, you'd expect some reasonable knockoff of Adam Sandler's Dracula--Oh, but you'd be wrong...
What we get--billed in the description as "video wallpaper for your next Halloween party"--is just minor plot-interstitial setups for below-average student-FX reels of badly CGI'ed Halloween characters dancing.
OK so I can’t actually link to this YT upload of A MOVIE RIP-OFF SO DUMBFOUNDINGLY BAD THAT IT MAKES RATATOING LOOK LIKE TOY STORY 2. (Totally serious). But it’s found easily enough, just search for “Alladin Dingo Pictures.”
But I’m warning you: this level of badness is not for the faint of heart. As Scar would have said: “Be prepared!”
(Just FYI it’s not that OTHER ripoff Alibaba or something like that....that’s a Disney Classic compared to this! )
EDIT: Oh wait here’s a different version I can link to:
To save more people from burning their eyes and ears, this video includes enough clips to see the hideous level of quality, while also providing some useful background and insight into the studio behind these cl-ass-ics...
True. Although they do (the ONLY thing they do right) say it authentically, meaning the Middle Eastern pronunciation with the accent on the second syllable.
But yeah, other than that, I’ll just quote Master Shi Fu:
