So it wasn’t just me being like “why the heck is the disc so dark?” That’s reassuring, I guess.

Those last two Godzilla films were horribly dark on disc. I could barely make out what was happening. I would consider buying the new version of Godzilla for that reason, though I did not love the film.

Ahh, the old "I’ll again buy the film I couldn’t see to watch the film I won’t ever watch". Yep, makes perfect sense. ;)

And Warners gets twice the cash for half the decent product...

Hey, that’s my plan! Well, if the final movie is half decent. Wasn’t a fan of Garth's 'Zilla, didn’t see the "second" one, and only kind of liked "Skull Island (with King Kong)" so this'll need to be good *and* heaps of fun to het me to go for the box. But that’s my thinking.

I'm hoping that the new film will make up for the last two 'zillas. At least the fights look to be in daylight this time. In fact, it looks very promising.

Early reactions are in. In short, human element is half-baked, but the fights are epic. About what I was expecting.

Sounds good enough for me! And when are the human stories ever any good in these anyway?

In the Ishiro Honda stories, where they at least gave the spy capers and alien invasions a campy sense of lightness, and weren't trying to justify their shock-and-awe studio megabudgets with Roland Emmerich Stares of Wonder at Nature's Epic Fury every other scene, like G:KotM.

("But Roland only directed the 90's..."--SHADDUP! I was using an adjective!)

They are saying some first day showings are selling out! (keep in mind they are only half full)

Good early sign for kong but remember wb paid those extra millions to put it on hbo max so they have tons to make up for it to be a hit!
