Maybe where you live. For me, we'll be barely into spring in two months!
Indiana Jones And The New Disney Movies Thread

Re: Indiana Jones And The New Disney Movies Thread
And these look like they may be over before they’ve begun!
I know it’s easy to say now, but I had a gut feeling that Spielberg was never going to come onboard and direct an Indy movie without Lucas' involvement. And he hated the fourth one just about as much as everyone else who isn’t called George did.
Personally? Time to reboot it. Steve is obviously not interested, while Disney want to make money on their investment. But this thing has been delayed, pushed back, drawn out and just lagging along to the point where, now, it’s obviously never going to have happened with Spielberg at the helm.
And, honestly, if we have to have new Indiana Jones movies, I’d — shock, gasp! — have a new Indiana Jones. If Ford does another then it’s going to be harder to reintroduce him in a couple of years after with a new actor, while right now they have a perfect three-movie classic trilogy and a bad reunion special that we can all forget and will now be so long ago (13 or 14 years by the time the new one comes along) that a whole new generation can discover Indy again and we can have a younger guy ready to go off on newer, fresher adventures.
After all, do we really want Ford back as a near 80 year old creaking around without his old buddy Spielberg, or — if we must have new films — do we want a fresh take that can kick off with less baggage and, yes, less mileage, from the start?

Re: Indiana Jones And The New Disney Movies Thread
Disappointing news, but could be a blessing in disguise.
Re: Indiana Jones And The New Disney Movies Thread
It's 91°F (32.8°C) in beautiful downtown Burbank, today.
We seem to have skipped spring, and gone straight into summer. In February.

No signs of Indiana Jones (that I can see) around here, though.

Amazing. Love the animation.
Re: Indiana Jones And The New Disney Movies Thread
Update on the script.
Re: Indiana Jones And The New Disney Movies Thread
Which is a big...nothing!
Let’s be honest...Marshall has been championing a new Indy in every new interview he does, always teasing that they’re just about to start work. I know that a script was ready for Spielberg to shoot, but it isn’t a surprise that a new filmmaker will want to put their own stamp on either that script or to start again. But a script *was* complete to the point that certain departments were already talking about prep work last year.
Then again, I don’t think Marshall or Spielberg has been too hot on this since Marshall's wife too over LucasFilm, for some reason, but he always seems to play it up. I think this still has a ways to go yet before we see Indy back one way or another...

You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!
