No, I missed Bill's subsequent post (and you know I was still referencing your comment). I meant "what are you going on about with the SPUMC thing and Sony keeping it for the next animated"…oh, never mind. It didn’t make any sense three days ago and now I’ve totally lost any interest in finding out…


Anyway…back to Spidey, and the new rumorings are that Sony are getting excited by No Way Home and apparent more Spidey cameos in The Multiverse Of Madness enough to be considering an official fourth Maguire/Rami Spider-Man 4, in addition to continuing the Holland series with a fourth Spider-Man: No Place Like Home collaboration with Marvel. These are themselves in addition to the future Sinister Six plans and the animated Spider-Verse spin-offs. There is going to be a LOT of Spidey in the next five years or so…!

I don’t want to say this is fake, but I do not believe it is real. Happy to be proven wrong, but too many things don't add up here.

Tobey's Spider-Man is several years older than he was in Spider-Man 3, whereas Andrew's is reportedly close to the age he was at the end of The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

We're almost 15 years on from Spider-Man 3, while Garfield's run is still fairly recent, so it pretty much goes without saying, no?

Yah, but it unofficially confirms they aren't trying to de-age Tobey to look like a day hasn't gone by. That's basically why I thought it of interest.

Rumor making the rounds is the films length is 2 hours and 39 minutes. Well, it would need that time for, you know... the worst kept secret in Hollywood.

I think this Spidey and Doc Strange 2 is shaping up to essentially be one larger storyline, with plenty of crossovers.

It's basically trying to be Phase IV's Civil War, on which a half-dozen crossover-universe future films depend.
(While The Eternals are spending all their ads saying "Okay, so we weren't in the Avengers movie!")

That's a LOT of weight for this movie to be crushed under.
