Oy! :(
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

Anything those faKe people touch is wrong!

I think I made a comment about how low-rent or degraded D+ felt to me when this deal was announced last year. There are some "brands" that just don’t feel "quality" enough, let alone "Disney" enough, to be on Disney+…

They should be on Paramount Plus+, where we can be allowed to use that Star Trek meme about Kardashians vs. Cardassians.

(As Stephen Colbert says...."A mountain of entertainment! :? ")

Yay…Rand can finally watch Fosse/Verdon! ;)

And I have a soft spot for Table 19. It’s a breezy, fairly inconsequential little film, but it’s funny and so short at 70-something minutes that I find myself leaving it on when it plays in a late night slot here every so often.

And The King's Man must have actually dropped a little early, since we watched it yesterday afternoon when a D+ email told us it had arrived, and indeed it worked. I didn’t think it was as fun as the first two; very talky with some somewhat strange occasional choices, and a couple of action sequences that were "silly/boring" as they either did nothing new (choreographed sword fights! A fight on the edge of a cliff!) or were out of the realms of believability even for this franchise, such as Fiennes scraping up the edge of aforementioned cliff. And if you can’t see the villain coming, well…

That all said, my wife almost loved it and the way it toyed with history, and apart from a few moments it’s a well made film, though just a bit slower, more talky, and "odd" the new we are used to from these films. And the less said about the multiple overuse of profanity from the bad guys the better. I found all that pretty boring too.

Yes, The King's Man dropped on Wednesday. My "dropping today" is just an easy umbrella term. ;)

Definitely one I want to check out. Enjoyed the first two films.

Well, only because Ben said I should! But yeah, I saw it pop up unexpectedly Thursday night on D+, and was happy to have an easy way of checking it out (someday!). I knew Ben would be pleased for me.

So, the Marvel shows are leaving Netflix in March! No telling where they're going... except that Marvel and Disney have a news conference scheduled to announce just what mysterious streaming platform that may be! Okay, it could be Hulu in the US, but I'm betting it'll be on D+ everywhere else, and likely the US as well. This is great news, as I'd been considering starting Netflix up again, mainly to finish watching those shows (I had barely started Daredevil, and saw Season 1 of Jessica Jones), and now I won't have to. Yeah, I know they weren't all winners, but I'd still like to see for myself.

And yet still those Woody Allen sets all sit there unwatched… ;)

(This is somewhat of a private joke, and merely uses Allen as an example. We are not going to get into a conversation about all of that here and now, and any such comments will be deleted. Not the time or place.)

Wow! This almost makes you worried about other Netflix properties that just might disappear. I also assumed if it was a Netflix original that it would be available on the service forever. Or am I mistaken and Netflix never assisted in the financial side of these shows? Doesn't really affect me though, the only one I am interested in finishing is Daredevil but hey I've watched 4 episodes and still haven't finished it so it's not like its a priority for me.

"Netflix Original" seems to only mean that something premiered on Netflix, and only in that particular country. In Canada (and I'm sure there are countless examples elsewhere), a show like DC's Titans is labeled a "Netflix Original" even though it was originally a "DC Universe" show, and Netflix picked it up after the fact. In other cases, Netflix did provide direct funding, just as Apple+ did for Wolfwalkers. In the case of a show like Star Trek Discovery, it was acknowledged that Netflix sales to other countries greatly helped to fund production (and keep production values so high), but Netflix does not have a stake in the show. Each show has its own specific deal, and details often are not public.

As for the Marvel shows, I was also under the impression that Netflix had rights in perpetuity as a producer of the shows, but evidently that is not the case.
