Not noticeable in the stock photo, it's also translucent!

PBS Kids wrote:Regretfully, PBS does not have the rights to distribute the Peanuts specials this year. We’ll all have to watch for the Great Pumpkin in a different pumpkin patch this Halloween.
Hopefully another channel got them, if not it will really be the end of an era. :(

VHS too!

Hopefully Apple will at least offer them free like they initially did.

Hallelujah they are! Apple has confirmed. Free viewing days for nonsubscribers:

"It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" - October 28 through October 31
"A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" - November 23 through November 27
"A Charlie Brown Christmas" - December 22 through December 25

MeTV is commemorating Charles Schulz's 100th birthday this month with debuts of A Boy Named Charlie Brown and Snoopy, Come Home. What a treat!

Today marks what would've been Charles Schulz's 100th birthday. What a beautiful legacy - joy, happiness, comfort, smiles and so much laughter. Happy birthday, Sparky! Nearly all comics today are paying tribute: Clickable.

Some of my favorite tribute strips for this day: :)

Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson

Heart of the City by Steenz

Rosebuds by Supr Dee

Dick Tracy by Mike Curtis & Shelley Pleger

Bizzaro by Dan Piraro & Wayno

.. but perhaps most amazing is Doonesbury by Garry Trudeau; the daily strip has been in 'reruns' for the past several years .. but today's strip (from 1997!) pays tribute to Schulz, all the same.

side note: it's really cool to see Reply All on a newspaper page (even if it's just the single-panel Reply All Lite spin-off). I thoroughly enjoy that strip .. though, other people around me often wonder why.

Almost all the comic tributes are collected here and in color! Some are pretty clever, one of my favorites is the Macanudo strip.
