WB Archive Collection: Discs On Demand!
Re: WB Archive Collection: DVDs On Demand!
Next time they have one of those Q&As someone please ask them--"where the heck are the cartoon dvds?"
Re: WB Archive Collection: DVDs On Demand!
Cats Don’t Dance, T&J Vol 2, and Neptune's Daughter please.

Now we're talking!

What I want from WA these days is a line-up of classic MGM/RKO/WB stars - and we are sure getting them in March!
Greta Garbo! Joan Crawford! Susan Hayward! Marilyn Monroe! Edward G Robinson! Esther Williams! And some guy named Olivier!
WHAT A MONTH! Not sure if all the films are winners, but I like the line-up!
Re: WB Archive Collection: DVDs On Demand!
Well, one out of three ain’t *too* bad! Guess I’ll change that to Jupiter's Darling now!
I guess Camille and Nazi Spy tempt, but a word of warning on Prince And The Showgirl: despite who’s in it and what it looks and sounds like, with its fairytale title and premise, it is honestly a crushing bore. I saw it again when (the much better, charming) My Week With Marilyn came out, and every time I try and revisit it and hope it’s going to be wittier, fresher and funner than I remember, I am reminded why practically everyone associated with it ultimately hated it! You have been warned…!
Re: WB Archive Collection: DVDs On Demand!
CDD will likely happen. Not so sure about T&J Vol. 2.
I was pretty thrilled to see Neptune's Daughter make the cut, and would gladly scoop up Jupiter's Darling next. 3 or 4 Esther films in my collection would do me, though I'd welcome more, too.
Other than Esther... I need to read up on the films more, but I was pretty happy to see so many old star names pop up. Yeah, I'm familiar with the Prince and The Showgirl rep, but dang it's still tempting.

Re: WB Archive Collection: DVDs On Demand!
I'm not fond of Prince and The Showgirl either. It is a bore, except for Sybil Thorndike who pretty much steals the scenes! The film goes in circles and the conclusion is rather abrupt.
Re: WB Archive Collection: DVDs On Demand!
Tim Milland has confirmed it will also include the 1921 silent version. Does that sway you any?
Re: WB Archive Collection: DVDs On Demand!
It tips me a little further, yes.
Re: WB Archive Collection: DVDs On Demand!
Long, Long Trailer review. Beaut! That's essentially how I describe the film, a longer episode of "I Love Lucy" just without the Mertzes.
Re: WB Archive Collection: DVDs On Demand!
Yeah, that’s about what I remember.
Re: WB Archive Collection: DVDs On Demand!
New George podcast. Discusses "Camille" and "I'll Cry Tomorrow". Also mentions more Greta Garbo this year!

Re: WB Archive Collection: DVDs On Demand!
Phew…good to pass this month. I’m already in for Maltese Falcon and Rebel 4Ks from WB that month, neither of which I ever upgraded from DVD.
