Okay, I’ll bite: what bit is "brilliant"? It may be there’s some blocked content that I’m not seeing, but all I could see is a list of project names.

I guess comedy really is subjective? :)

I thought it was hilarious. And that was the joke. That there was already an endless list of project names (all of them ridiculous). Since there have already been two of them announced today alone (including a horror movie).

So it’s funny that there’s already an endless list? Oh-kay…I think I get you. Wouldn’t call that "funny", but pretty amazing, yeah.

And open to infringement interpretation. That Trap film was not made overnight, so it does seem someone was infringing on the copyright while it was in development and production. And clearly they’re not using an archival print of the actual cartoon but Disney's much more recent digital restoration in the clips we see. Interesting to see them recreate a scene in CG, though, which does show some originality, but again that would have been done months or at least weeks ago…when the character was still under copyright…

Okay, I think I need to clarify that the article I shared was satire. Hard Drive is a satire site (would have thought the Del Toro “quote” and the titles themselves would have made that apparent). :)

The Mickey’s Fun House movie is very much real, though. From a copyright standpoint, I’m assuming it must be legal(?), since that Blood and Honey sequel did the same thing by filming Tigger prior to his character’s own entrance into public domain.

It's going to theartes looks like. Sigh. Why horror? They can't be creative to make a fantasy family movie. Had to copy pooh?

Blah.

CG Mickey is easily the best part of the trailer.

Watching mouse trap trailer wondering if mickey is really evil. We see its someone who is using a mickey mask so not mickey unless he is wearing a mask of himself. Why would mickey wear a mask of his own face. Animated mickey in the projector looks at the humans in that shot. It would be funny if mickey shows up on screen trying to help or warn the humans against the killer and this is a trick.

But it's a low budget horror movie made for $5 and a ham sandwich so would they be that clever. Eh. Probably not.

Yeah, that's one thing I'll give this movie credit, at least it looks like it's just some guy who puts on a Mickey mask, unlike the Pooh flick where they wanted you to believe it was the actual characters.

Reminded me of an old girlfriend who used to say "three pounds fifty and a bag of sweets"! The funny thing is, £3.50 is about $5 so she was right on the money, no pun intended!

The best news is that Popeye is still running?!?

(It's... different, but I kinda like it. https://popeye.com/popeyes-sunday-comic/)

Yeah! Doesn’t *quite* do it for me — the eyes could just be a "squint" larger, me thinks — but there’s something heartwarming about Popeye still being out there! :)
