I lament that we can’t buy discs of many of 'Flix's animated filums…

This looks to be a much better way of spending June 30 than going to see Indy… :(

That new trailer has me going from 'Yeah I'll watch it sometime during my break', to 'I know what I will be watching the first day of my break'

Alternate title; Turning Rad. ;)

The *look* is pretty awesome. Best hand-shaded CG I think I’ve yet seen.

Watched this last night and absolutely loved it. I would say it's the best animated film I've seen this year, but then remembered it's the only one I've seen this year haha. I'll admit I'm not usually a fan of the style of animation used in the movie - mostly because I ponder why don't they just do hand drawn animation if they want it to look hand drawn - but the story was so engaging that I didn't have time to ponder that thought. And the humour is definitely my style of humour.

It really is a shame that it wasn't able to get a true theatrical release, as I think it would have looked amazing on the big screen.

I described it to my friend as The Iron Giant with Tangled's humour set in a word with the aesthetics of Treasure Planet.

And I thought it was a lovely touch that they gave credit to all the people who worked on the movie when it was at Blue Sky Studios (look it may have been contractually required, but I thought it was a nice touch). It was quite an extensive list and hopefully they didn't miss anyone.

The petty me was hoping for a 'No thanks to Disney' right at the end of the credits, but it didn't appear.

Will most likely give this a rewatch sometime during my 2-week break.

Good news! Not sure when I’ll be able to see this, but it sounds like it might be worthy of a big screen run!

Unfortunately, I didn't care for this movie,I didn't care for the humor (I don't know if I'd describe it like Tangled's humor but I didn't care for Tangled's humor as well) , they tried so hard to make Nimona cool that she just comes across as lame and annoying. The animation looked cheap and it's becoming increasingly difficult for me to be invested in a world that tries to be both modern and old fashioned.
