I watched Qantumania for the first time last night. Whoo boy, their earlier successes really went to their heads. Someone needs to recognize when things go off the rails and say, "No, that's a terrible idea." It wasn't all bad, of course, and there are far worse films out there, but if only they'd at least kept that awful and stupid version of MODOK out of it, it could have been so much better.

Turning Ant Man and The Wasp into a Star Wars film wasn't necessarily a bad idea, but it suffered from being a bad Star Wars movie. Too much emphasis on effects, not enough on all the characters being introduced. Also, too much quipping. Do we need wall-to-wall quips? And I didn't need the hints of the past love life of Michelle Pfeiffer and Bill Murray. Yech.

QUANTUMANIA ;)

That was the one neat thing they did in that whole movie.

Spider-Man: No Way Home Extended Version coming to Netflix!

I really wish that I liked NWH more. I don't see a longer version saving it, but I hope it at least has more of what I did like - multiple Peter scenes.

Ha! We just lost that from 'Flix here. Not being a slave to the comics as much, I adored NWH as just a great film and nostalgically fun and well-made movie experience.

You get around ten minutes of new stuff, half of which seems deleted for a reason (a school chatshow bit with Betty Brant, which drags), but then there's a bit more JJ, and just one extra scene with talk between the Spideys, though that’s all it is, just talk, which delves into more of what was in there anyway, even if it is funny.

Nothing earth-shattering or movie-changing, though the end credit Dr Strange tease is swapped for another Betty bit, which is nicer than an ad for the ultimately lame next movie.

Would still like this cut on disc!

Spin-offs of a spin-off rarely work, and this looks to follow suit. Blah. :|

If MCU does Fantastic Four right, Agatha Harkness should figure into future FF movies .. mostly after Franklin Richards is born, though.

But do we need this series so far off before that? Or would it have been cooler to have a sudden recall? "She's baaaa-aaack!" ;) This seems like it’s a remnant of Marvel's "treading water" that they apparently want to cut back on…

Technically I've had very little interest in the Agatha spinoff. I wasn't a major fan of her in WandaVision and didn't think her theme song was incredible either and never understood why Marvel needed to give her a spinoff. BUT. If it's true that Joe Locke is
Billy Kaplan, after reports denied he was playing that character
I guess I will need to at least check it out in case
a true Young Avengers something is made
. I just hope the show is funnier and less horror than what the trailer is depicting.

Glad they referenced the lack of 'tache so that Indy can become you know who…

But Sam Wilson is just a man. Sure, he's a man with a man's courage, but he's still nothing but a man. Kind of negates the whole Super Soldier point of Steve Rogers and the original Cap…
