Okay, so maybe the CGI dwarfs in the new live-action Snow White don't look so bad after all...

Ended up a huge hit at the box office even going against police academy 2,baby secret of the lost legend, last dragon, friday the 13th part 5, porky's revenge and desperately seeking Susan at the same time!

"Niiiiicholaaaaas"…!

The sequels weren’t much cop (though there’s some fun stuff in the bonkers Wonderland third one), but Care Bears Movie really is underrated and has some great things going on. It also beat out The Black Cauldron in cinemas. We had it on rotation on VHS back in the day and it’s criminal that there isn’t a decent disc or even any HD streaming version of it.

I’m guessing MGM probably has it nowadays. I’d jump on a disc in a heartbeat, if only to hear that eerie book calling out that name again…! C’mon, Kino or Shout or someone; give us a 40th anniversary remaster!

Interesting video on the history of Disney's infamous scary Snow White ride:

Obviously, I've only ever ridden the "revamped" Magic Kingdom version, so I was confused by what all the fuss was about at the time. Only years later did I learn I hadn't been riding what all of the parents had been complaining over (although even that one got Disney in trouble, apparently).

Oh,cool!

The preview clip looks nice and clean, so there’s obviously an HD remaster been done at some point. Might have to nab that, if only digital. It’s been an age since I last saw it. :)
