Spielberg UFO movie: Disclosure Day

I know there’s been very little info on this upcoming film (just that it’s being filmed in Long Island and New Jersey) so thought I’d start up a thread to talk about it.

I would post a link to the tiny amount of information available, but all THOSE stories are basically CRAMMED with pop-up ads. (Plus, like I said, basically zero info.)

From what I hear, John Williams has already written some "themes" for this film. He hasn’t been well lately: he's in a wheelchair and cancelled a few summer concert dates, but let's truly truly hope that he manages to complete a score for this, as it would be such a shame if his last one was for the Pile Of Density. Doing another Spielberg UFO movie would bring things around full circle for both of them, almost, in a way.

Coolio! We need another proper barnstormer from Johnny after the fairly week Fablemans and the Pile Of Density.

I had no idea the movie is shot and cut though! I'd heard previously that he was writing "some" music for the film before it was shooting, just in case (shudder), but recording sessions means it's in a cut form, which I guess would have to be right because the release is in just over six months!

Woo-hoo! Might be my one and done trip to a (bigger) cinema in 2026!

So I'm hating the title, because having aliens and the word Day in it sounds like a Syfy Channel riff on Independence Day (even the font is similar; c'mon Spielberg and Koepp, you can do better than this, even just Disclosure would have been better if that hadn't already been used by your previous collaborator Crichton), but here is...
