I scored a ticket to the very first opening day screening at Disney's El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood .. center of the balcony! 8)

Last movie I'd done that for was The Incredibles .. over 20 years ago!

Excellent seat for the Capitan, Droo!

Bizarrely the movie I saw there wasn’t as good as FF probably will be…the ultra-disappointing Blues Brothers 2000! :( ;) ;)

The first movie I ever saw at the world-famous Grauman's Chinese Theatre (just across the street from the El Capitan) was .. Beavis and Butthead Do America.

Not quite the same level, but I was excited to visit the Cinerama Theatre in Seattle a few years ago - one of only two Cinerama theaters left in the US (neither is open now, as far as I know). Sadly, I was not there for their Cinerama Film Festival, and had to settle for.... Suicide Squad. :(

Oh yeah, that overrated kids' movie that gets praise for its villain Syndrome despite him just being a cackling manic who likes killing superheroes and gets off lightly at the end.

After all, he could have very well survived the turbine. That is why Mr. Incredible should've gutted him alive Event Horizon style.

All superhero movies anymore are garbage. They're not about the people. Image Comics adaptations are better because they are about the plight of those affected by supes.

"Bunghole!"

Ah, now the first movie I saw at the Chinese was a bit better…a little movie you may have heard of called Tiranic. The bass in that theatre was amazing (and I guess still is!). :)

No, I have actually not heard of Tiranic.

And he says that I have trouble spelling names. ;)

Wait…you’ve never heard of Tiranic!!?!????

The animated film about Donald The T-Rex Dinosaur, who tyrannically uses his tyrannical power like a tyrant and makes life tough for all the other dinosaurs until he falls out with his friend Tusk, a mammoth, to the point where both make themselves look so ridiculous that all the other dinosaurs just end up ignoring them, thus ending Tiranic's hold over them?

When you’re over next, we’ll fix that. Grat movie! Really good songs, too!

Nah, that’d be too obvious! Tiranic is his name, tyrannic is his game… ;)

The movie is fantastic .. everything I wanted it to be. :D

and the inaugaral El Capitan screening I'd attended was introduced by Kevin Feige, live on stage .. :o .. along with composer Michael Giacchino, and the director, producer, and costume designer for the film; Disney must've just flown 'em all up direct from San Diego Comic-Con.

I must say I do have high hopes for this, and for it to reset the MCU after the last phase of pretty ropey titles. Glad to hear it sounds fun.
