Hey, I have no problem with "Hoodwinked" making money. As a matter of fact, I'm glad to see that's it doing well.
And I've understood all along why the animation wasn't better than it was. But still, how much would it have cost to move Red's eyes around a little more?
Loved her design, however. And the squirell was hilarious.
Wendy's Jane wrote:I saw "Hoodwinked". My opinion seems to be that of others, in that it had a clever storyline and great voice work, but it needed better animation.
Just got back from seeing it, and I have to agree. GREAT cast, nice storyline, but terrible animation. But hopefully, that'll be better second time around.
The whole theme of the movie didn't remind me of Shrek as much as I thought it would; Hoodwinked seemed more focused on the whole fairytale aspect then Shrek did.
BTW, was anyone else totally shocked by the "Plot Twist" near the end of the film? Don't click below if you haven't seen the film:
When the villain turned out to be the cute pink bunny rabbit, I swear, I couldn't stop laughing. For some reason, I spent the entire movie thinking that the bear was going to end up being the baddie. How nice to see a surprise in an animated movie that everyone doesn't see coming ahead of time.
