I'll say though, I'm not a big fan of the background. The logo is awesome, but the background... I dunno, it just doesn't seem as good as the logo.

Excellent logo! I'm amazed at how you got the font down so well. It might've been nice to at least see Lightning somewhere, but this is still good.

I guess I just don't think enough about the work that goes into those. I agree; it's excellent work. And the background is perfect... appropriate but not too distracting from the text.

Backgrounds are backgrounds and logos are logos. They are two different things and backgrounds are not supposed to attract attention as much as logos. I think they work perfectly together.
