So how will contest winners be contact if they won the contest?

I'm just wondering because I think I'm a contest winner.

I don't think I been e-mailed either yet.

I think this is more a case for the Talkback board at The Animated Films, where I assume you can talk to Mike directly:

I'll contact the owner directly & see if he emailed the winners yet.

I don't get how someone can know they're a contest winner...??

Also, Mike, are you one of the Michaels associated with this new site? If so, I'm not sure posting the contest you did in the way you did was quite right.

And it seems our boards have been hyjacked to talk about a problem on another site...!?

I tried to hint at that and to get the conversation moving on in my post above, so would appreciated it if you could let me know what's going on here.

Thanks! :)

Ahaa!

Things seem to have taken a turn when Mike thought you were talking about his contest at the Animated FILMS...

Still don't get how you know you could be a winner though...

We have OUR winners here...see if you're among them:

Ben I already know about that link but I'm not 100% if I'm the winner because many people can have the same name come from the same state and city. Anyways I think I have won since on the Darkwing Duck side I think I'm the last contestant on the list.

So hopefully it's me.
Like I said before winners should have been noted by e-mail.

DOUBLE DIP AHOY!!

In the UK it looks like Cars will get an audio commentary, which points to more material being recorded for this than we'll be getting in R1 land.

PLUS... Australia gets this 2-DISC TIN SET!!?!?!??!????:

True that. Why Australia, I wonder? :?

Hmph. I guess that settles it - there's got to be a special edition coming for those who wait. And if there isn't... someone in somebody's marketing department needs to have their head checked.

Its an exclusive extras disc to the Brazin Group which own australian stores like EzyDVD and HMV and Sanity etc. So its not really an official 2nd disc.

That is true I guess. I sent an email not yesterday but the day before to the National Disney DVD contact found at the bottom of the Cars DVD press release asking him about whats going on with the Cars DVD and if Disney have plans for a 2 disc. Still no response.

There is a rather flavourless self-satisfaction radiating from each highly worked pixel: the movie actually has a little homage to its own greatest hits like Toy Story and A Bug's Life, with the characters being played by cars - those were terrific films, of course, but it's a little smug to award classic status to yourself quite so publicly.
I think this was a good point. Reminds me of the Buzz Lightyear line in Toy Story 2.
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

Wow that came out of nowhere. To be fair, what is being talked about there happened during the credits of the film, where Pixar has traditionally put some sort of gag. This was not in the body of the film itself. And it wasn't "to award classic status" to themselves. It was a sweet little tribute to John Ratzenberger for all the characters he has played for Pixar.
