I think Charles last post says it all Vi.

Yeah, I realize that. I know it's a sensitive situation. Like you said, I just wanted to know what happened! :P

I don't know, I still think he should let them talk about it, as long as they maintain proper behavior.

That's 5D, and with 6D you will see dead 2D animations.

Pixar will bring back 2D in maybe 10-15 years. Until that, 2D won't have as much success as 3D. Because 3D is just the new way to animate.

Have they spoken at all about this?

What Vi said...I haven't heard anything about Pixar going 2D anytime soon, and I don't really want them to now that Disney is doing it again.
Homer looked way better in 3d...
Um...Sorry, but I'm not sure if you're kidding or not! :P

BTW here's a cool tidbit--Pacific Data Images (PDI) did those Homer 3d special effects for Fox, which impressed Katzenberg enough that he decided to buy them and make films together. (This was 1995 I think)
At the time those SFX were considered pretty darn advanced. THAT's why (and I didn't get this till I listened to the commentary) Homer says: "Wow, this place looks expensive. I feel like I'm wasting a fortune just standing here!"

 :D
