Just wanted to say I finally saw Ice Age 2! :) The story drags and it's mostly just a collection of funny bits but all in all it's a really cute film with some HILARIOUS scenes. I liked the friendship between Manny, Diego and Sid a whole lot, very sweet and the "famous" people who did the voices did a great job BTW. Wada Sykes was good too. Sid is so funny! It was really cool to see these characters again. I saw the first Ice Age in the theater as well. :) (this was at my school)

It should get nominated IMO...it's a lot of fun.

IMO:

Flushed Away
Over the Hedge
Cars
Ice Age 2
Monster House

And the winner is...gotta wait till March to find out!! :?
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

Ice Age 2 was cute but I don't think it should get a nom. It's numerous story problems bothered me to no end...The animation was excellent though. :)

Don't you mean Queen Latifah?

If the latest reviews are any indication, Happy Feet will definitely be nominated for the the "Best Animated Feature" Oscar - and might just win the award too.

We also thought after seeing the first Cars reviews, that it will hit the 95% at rottentomatoes, but it didn't.
So, I wait for the weekend, when all reviews are on the site..
But a nominations is pretty looked, actually.

To be honest, Groaning, I don't recall thinking that.

Anyway, what I meant by my previous post is simply that out of all the animated films this year, Happy Feet is thus far receiving some of the best reviews. Hence, that does put it in a position to land a nomination and possibly win.

About good movies you mean? Quite a bit, actually. I find myself agreeing with them more than I disagree with them.

I know, I was just saying... ;)

Since I still dislike Happy Feet. All though, I recently saw a new commercial, and it actually looked cute. I dunno, I'll have to see it before I pass judgement (so in a year )
