Well, we went to see Night At The Museum last...um, night, and I came out and saw a poster for "The Reef" that just blew my mind.
I did a little checking online and found a movie called SharkBait, with the same poster.
I'd not heard of this and don't remember it being on any radar anywhere, but check it out...it looks...um...well, you take a look:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0820142/
Looks like we may hear more about this as it rolls out internationally throughout 2007, but they can't be serious...!!??
Good cast list though...of the kind that'll take anything thrown at them...!

Great balls of fire. It's Nemo saving Pearl the pearl from Bruce the shark!
And you know where they got that title from, right? I bet you anything they just stole the name "Sharkbait" from
Finding Nemo ....

Shark Bait OOO-HA-HA!
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

What a complete rip-off! That shark looks exactly like the shark from
Finding Nemo , talk about originality.
I agree with Ben, the cast looks good!
IMO, it looks cute, but kinda been there, done that
Also, what's with the I's and /'s in the thread title Ben?
EDIT: My

I looked at their Shark/Nemo/Tale site and there's not a lot there. I managed to find some English section but then lost it...
There's no trailer up yet, but this has been so far off the radar it hurts - and it's already picking up alternative names before release, which isn't going to help anyone remember this!

Maybe it won't come out next year
With the way things are going, it wouldn't be surprising.
I also tried looking at the site, and got nothing!

That looks very familiar from somewhere and I can't remember what.

There's no trailer up yet,
Ben - you can see the trailer by clicking on the poster on the main page. I didn't understand what they were saying, but I *think* it was Japanese.

After I posted about this topic over at Pixar Planet, someone else posted another Pixar rip-off poster.
I said that the one character looks like a ridiculous combination of Mater, Fillmore, Red, and Sheriff.

I don't know about Disney, but VW should at least sue them for ripping off that truck!
Yes, I saw this a while back. And it scared me.

Same with Ben - I was at an entertainment store with a friend (who is not a particularly big animation person, but loves Pixar) a few months ago when I saw it...I think it got her ranting about how everyone wants to be Pixar, story matters most, etc. etc....
I read the description of the film on the back, and if I remember correctly, it sounded like The Lion King with cars! There were also a few screen grabs that looked directly ripped off from stills of Cars.

They're going to HAVE to change the title on this on. EVERYONE is going to be playing the "Rip-off" card if they don't.

They should change the logo as well - it looks just like Shark Tales'.
