Pitching A Series

Hi all! The other night, I had a really vivid dream in which I was a writer on a Ghost Rider animated series. After I woke up and thought about it, I thought "hey, that might not be such a bad idea!" The movie (which I really liked) is, apparently, a success and a sequel is sure to follow so a tv spinoff doesn't seem so farfetched.

Right now, I am planning on buying both volumes of Essential Ghost Rider to get story material so I can write a pilot, a series bible and an outline of the first season (which I already have a tentative idea of where I want it to go).

My question, to anyone here who might know, is once I've done all that, how would I go about pitching the show to Marvel and what are the odds that I would ever actually have a chance to pitch it at all?

Seriously, it's a <I>long</I> shot, especially if you're adapting their established material. They would look to go in-house or to writers that have worked out well for them in the past.

These days, the best way to get noticed is to write an original pitch.
