...and I'll bet he'll love them even more on Blu-Ray. Don't hold your breath for a Ratatouille double-disc. My bet is the standard discs will be decent if uninspired singles from now on and that Blu-Ray is where it's at.
Remember, all these Hollywood types have the pots of cash to buy all these toys, and their enthusiasm will mean they want to play with the technology. Who cares if no-one else sees it? Recent trade ads make it very much clear that Pixar loves Blu-Ray and what it can do.
The Blu-Ray Cars disc will be Disney's first animated 2-disc set, with multiple exclusive features such as "in-movie" commentary on disc one and a whole second disc of high-def extras. Disney is certainly making A Statement with this one.
I'm not saying there WON'T be a 2-disc - hey, the Mouse and the Lamp will make money off of anything - but just to say that the emphasis may well be on their bigger cousin Blu-Ray Disc editions from now on.
