Hey everyone! My name is doug- i just moved to the d.c. area and work in marketing. I don't really know many people here so i was hoping to make some friends here with a common interest- all things animated! Alright well i'm gonna build a desk to put this computer of mine on... hope all is well!!
I've been a pretty long time reader of these threads, since before The Incredibles came out, and finally decided to get my butt off the ground and register here. This seems to be the most balanced animation-oriented board I've come across. And the personalities here are so vivid.... I do use imdb, and have had a couple of decent "conversations" there, but too often it turns into trolling. There also doesn't seem to be much discussion about animation or especially the people behind it. For example, I was shocked to discover that I was the first to post something on Brenda Chapman's page. Even Brad Bird's page is not used very often.
Anyway, if you really wanna know, this appealed to me because there are no people I know in person who share a passion for animation like I do. In addition, I am vocally shy, so I guess this is a good way to state my views on things, even if they are really stupid.
