A total eclipse of the Moon occurs during the night of Wednesday, February 20/21, 2008. The entire event is visible from South America and most of North America (on Feb. 20) as well as Western Europe, Africa, and western Asia (on Feb. 21).
Here on the east coast of the USA the eclipse will be in totality at 10:01pm.
Totally running back and forth all the way down my hall from my room where I need to do work to the only window in this building the eclipse is visible from right now
I usually bypass being concerned with such events, but my mom called last night and got my daughter excited to see it. She raced to our living room window, and kept me and my wife updated every couple of minutes, at which point we'd go and see it. It was pretty neat.
