Here's the full list of 75 toons for Volume 2. Neat... I think Jerry has once again made a great selection!

Well, kind of. The first 45 Woodys are simply the next chronological titles in the series, and it's fair to say that we've had the best cartoons in Volume One.

However, it's with the other 30 that hold most interest and that I'm most looking forward to! :)

More Oswald is one of things I'm most looking forward to. :)

And if you haven't seen it, here's a sneak peek of the menus for Volume 2. Ooh, two pages for Bonus!

Got my copy of Woody Vol. 2 yesterday at Best Buy, which FYI comes with a free limited edition cell. :D Pic:

I'm hoping those interested knew, since I didn't mention this earlier... sorry. Haven't heard if Canada is doing this too, but I'll say something if they are, for Rand sake - if you're not doing the review for A-V's. :)

Oh yeah, I've already seen some of disc 1. Wow, WOW! The restoration is beautiful and such an improvement over Vol. 1. (in the case of DVNR.) Although, like others have been commenting elsewhere, some shorts appear a little dark. Eh, I don't mind as much!

We didn't get a screener in for this, but I've ordered my copy and will likely put in a review for AV. :)

My copy's on the way! It shipped Sunday from Amazon, so I'm hoping to have it before the weekend. (I also have the big Pink Panther set coming in that order, plus 5000 Fingers of Dr. T. Good viewing ahead!)

I'm glad I order from Amazon.com again. I received Volume 2 yesterday, and it has the "hole-y" cover like Volume 1 did, as well as the same type of digipack. Meanwhile, at a local Wal-Mart, I saw it with an ordinary slipcase and three slimcases inside. I just like consistency in packaging.

No chance to look at it, though. I'm still busy watching George of the Jungle, which I got last week.

Don't we all? ;) Although I can picture what you're describing, I wish pics of the Canada release would surface. As to do a comparison of sorts.

Oh, btw, your Best Buy doesn't offer the cell after-all.

Hey Dan...you know Disney's Darkwing Duck, Gummi Bears and DuckTales box sets? Canadian Woody looks like them.

"Canadian Woody". There's a character there, eh? ;)

No, no, I know that! I just want to 'see' it, like if the slimcases use the same art as ours do or new art specifically made for it... though I doubt it. I mainly want to to see how it's arranged. Make sense, yes? ;)

Ahh, gotcha. As far as I know, the slimcase artwork repeats the front cover image on the front, and then uses the fold out insides of the digipack edition for the backs on the corresponding discs.

Woody has received the Blu-ray treatment! Jerry Beck shares some thoughts:
Jerry Beck wrote:Okay, so today I got my "contributors copy" of the new Woody Woodpecker Screwball Classics blu ray. Anyone hesitating to pick this up is making a mistake. The quality is outstanding - an absolute upgrade from the previously released DVD set(s) - which I also curated over 12 years ago. I understand that Amazon is overwhelmed with orders (thank you) and there is a delay in filling them... but pre-order! Let's show Universal we WANT the Lantz library restored on physical media. Here's a few grabs.

Aw, man .. I'd had this title on my Amazon Wish List for the past couple months, but didn't 'pre-order'; figuring I'd just casually place an order for it after it was actually released (which was on Tuesday, of this week).

Just checked Amazon, now: "Usually ships within 1 to 2 months." :o

There's a few local stores here in L.A. where I'll probably look, instead .. :|

I was also feeling like I can be satisfied with the DVDs, especially since I was most interested in the non-Woody shorts on them. But I'll likely decide to pick this up, too.

Well, Jerry said to!
