I don't know how long before these pictures are pulled but here are some pictures of some of the characters in the movie.

Well,it's just sounds boring IMO.
But when I also first heard about WALL-E it sounded very depressing and I thought no dialogue will be bad but now it looks wonderful :D.

Thanks, CGI! Way cool pictures. Russel looks like an interesting character. The fourth picture down, looks very similar to the Disney short "The Little House"! Neat. :)

So, Once, the lesson you learnt from that mistake was....? I rest my case.

Personally, I think it's crazy to write-off an animated piece before you've seen the full feature (and said clips) in context. First impressions are natural, sure, but I find it prudent to leave sweeping statements like 'boring' or 'lame' until the credits at the end of the film.

It also happened with Shark Tale (Because I thought it's not good as Finding Nemo,I was really into Finding Nemo at that time but then I realized it's good and I also realized I don't need to compare it to Finding Nemo but now I think they"re both good and very different),Ratatouille and Over The Hedge,I guess I"ll have to wait (Thought I was right about The Wild and it turned it to be much worse then I thought).

Yahoo! Movies has the teaser poster for Up. It's basically the same image from the special elevator that was mentioned at Animated News last July.

I think Up could be a really fresh new film from Pixar!

However, they sound slightly plagiaristic how much they say Miyazaki influences them. Yes, he's a genius and Howl's Moving Castle is my second favorite movie ever, but even so, Pixar needs its own style (which it has, but, they still talk a lot about Miyazaki's impact).
Feature Animation Favorites:
  • Tekkonkinkreet, Watership Down, A Town Called Panic, Howl's Moving Castle, Rio 2096, Mind Game, Fantastic Planet

"A little morose" huh? Well, they've certainly tread that territory before (Finding Nemo is a little morose, too) so I'm sure they can make it work.
