Remember that Oscar-winning short?
I knew that.
I forgot that it won an Oscar though. Apart from that silly, hard to find DVD that Sony put out, they never made much of the fact, other than bunging it on the Men In Black II disc, which I refuse to buy based on such a lame feature film.
I was disappointed to find that it wasn't on the Stuart Little 2 disc either, which it also played with in theaters, apparently on the request of director Rob Minkoff, who didn't want it to overshadow his film. Shame.
I'm still hoping that it will turn up on the disc of Sony's first proper animated feature, Open Season. Makes sense. Good little short.

Ah-ha...that's what I thought it was. Just wanted to make sure.
which I refuse to buy based on such a lame feature film.
Maybe you could rent it?

I saw the short in theaters with MIB 2 and Stuart Little 2. A DVD would be nice, but I have a hi-res downloaded version on my PC.

I saw it with MIB 2, but I didn't know it played with SL2, also. I was never that big a fan of the first, so I just left the second alone.
Isn't Sony making a full-length Chubb-Chubbs film or something?

Yes, Eric Armstrong has been "invited" to expand the idea to feature-length.

I don't know. That's about as much as has ever been said. Sony were known to be developing it, but as you say, those other two projects seem to have come to the forefront in their plans.

Not as "Tex Avery" as the initial poster seemed to promise, though not a failure. Interesting set-up, with I'd say Blue Sky-level animation.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I got out of it, too.

Back in October, Damon Albarn quietly noted that Gorillaz might be coming back, earmarking a 2016 release of a new album.
Yesterday, Jamie Hewlett cemented the return on Instagram with the first new artwork of Murdoc and Noodle since the 2011 release of The Fall.

Groovy.
Ironically, I never picked up either of the albums, despite liking them, but did get the two animated video compendiums on DVD.
