Doesn't dreamworks hold a grudge against Disney?

You might think so, but apparently not.

In a recent interview, DWA head-honcho Jeffrey Katzenberg said he "loved" Up.

If one was a cynic, one might think that the possibility of Disney eventually marketing the DreamWorks animated movies could have something to do with the public show of admiration...!

Dreamworks loves Disney a little too much.

Post-pinkslip Sanders was snapped up by DW so QUICKLY, the word "Kidnapped" springs to mind.

Sanders didn't get a pink slip. He QUIT Disney. He wasn't "fired."
That's simply a fact (and a public one at that).

It's odd that many people "quit" Disney about one minute before receiving their pink slips.

Like who? Sanders quit in a whiney huff because he was a spoiled brat and wasn't getting his way. He couldn't direct a film by himself. Dean Dublois is the real story guy that gave form to lots of Sanders bizarre ideas.

His direction vs. DeBlois's does suggest the indulgent-brat factor--
But more suggests that some animators who had gotten used to David Stainton's system of indulging "house genius" pet projects weren't adjusting to John Lasseter's "Pixar way" of studio story consultation (which might've darn well helped "Lilo & Stitch get the one more disciplined draft it needed)--
Which could be a combination "Not staying where I'm not wanted", but first you have to be not wanted.

The only reason why Sanders left Disney is because Lassester screwed up his original idea, and turned it into a clone. I really dont want to get started on that, but the trailer to this movie just made me yawn.

Think you got your cause and effect mixed up--
Lasseter canned Sanders' rambling Cars-clone because, in a word, they didn't want "quirky" while they were rehabilitating the studio (seeing as that'd been most of the problem to begin with), an "unappreciated" Sanders left in a taxi and a huff, and Katzenberg pounced on him like a homicidal psycho jungle cat.

If you're trying to disparage "Bolt", that only came later, after Lasseter had to figure out what to do with a title was already contractually slotted for theaters, and already had practice salvaging another aborted Stainton-era burp.

"quirky" doesn't begin to describe the mess that was "american dog." Do not be fooled...everyone who saw it left confused and disgusted at what a mess it was. I don't think "Bolt" is the greatest movie ever made, but everyone agrees it's a helluva lot better than american dog.
