I don't blame Chipmunks and Avatar for PatF's box office intake as much as I do Disney for releasing it when they did.

Couldn't agree more, Meg.

In hindsight, it would've been wise for Disney to release it in time for Thanksgiving weekend. After all, that worked very well for "Enchanted" a few years back. Of course, Disney probably wanted to avoid going againts "Planet 51," which at one point looked like it might be huge, even though that ended up not being the case.

But Disney knew that Alvin and Avatar would be huge, and probably should've moved further away from them.

Re: Bone Movie Update: Bone using mo-cap!

Old Dogs and Frog should've switched dates..that's for sure.

And on Bone..who else thinks Nathan Lane should voice Phoney Bone?
I love all things cinema, from silent movies to world cinema to animated cinema to big blockbusters to documentaries and everything in between!

When I read the comics, I always "heard" Gilbert Gottfried as Phoney and Billy West as Phone. As for the Mo-Cap, I really don't care as long as they get the story right (as someone once said, you can have the worst animation in the world, but if the writing is good that's all that matters).

Oh, this looks awesome. A new hardcover, full-color set for Bone, with 2 special collector's editions available:

I haven't read Bone yet, largely because I've been waiting for this!

Seeing that Mars Needs moms bombed, is it possible that the motion capture will be removed from this? I am already hearing that the production of this movie is having trouble.

We have a director. It only took 4 years!

Looks like the film might be animated or live action.

I want a big-budget 100% CG adventure film possibly in 3D, I think 3D would really bring you into the environments in Bones. This format would work best in my mind.
