Beavis and Butt-head are baaaaack!

Post by Dan »

It's the return of the most revolutionary animated series in the early 90's.

Renamed this topic so that people would actually know what was being talked about. Please give topics appropriate names - thanks! :)

The only time anything related to Beavis and Butt-head made me laugh was when they appeared in a "Robot Chicken" sketch as the newest members of the Teen Titans.

I guess that means I'm not the biggest fan. ;)

I was never the biggest fan of the scatter-shot, choppy and crude (not just in the humor) MTV show, but I did find the feature film guiltily hilarious. Without the constraints of having to provide the material the show was based on, Judge and his crew seemed - like South Park - more free to bring it back to the characters and the opened-up situations they found themselves in. I'd need to sit and watch it again, but I remember it being a very funny movie.

Heh heh heheheheh.

Huh huh huh.

Hahahahahahaha....

That's all I've gotta say!

(The regular TV series was stupid. I HATED the music videos.

(The movie had its moments. though!)

I felt the same way. I think because the movie felt a lot more like King of the Hill than it did Beavis and Butthead

I like the show, but it's best enjoyed in small doses (like, 4 or 5 of the 5-minute episodes at a time instead of marathoning the whole boxset). The movie was a hoot, and I love the song that Isaac Hayes did for the beginning. Given that Mike Juge wasn't entirely pleased with a number of episodes (which is why the dvds don't have the whole series, just the episodes he likes), it'll be interesting to see what he comes up with now.

Apparently, a new Beavis and Butt-Head will be shown before screenings of Jackass 3D.

I'm not particularly fond of either one, but I guess, for fans, it's nice.
