I'm still waiting for Taz-Mania, but this gives me hope.

They are being so good to us. :)

Actually, I have no huge interest in The Dukes per se, but it bodes well for continued releases of similar stuff that I know I will love.

I'd never heard of this until it popped up on WB's review request list, so I'm game. Used to love the live show as a kid!

Aw, c'mon, you know the rules of 70's/80's Saturday-morning:
Find out whatever movie or TV show kids are watching the rest of the week, and co-opt it! :P

Still, as long as Warner has decided to let loose the hounds on their Archive toon division, thought we'd have something a little more culty--
You'd think they'd finally get "New Adventures of Huck Finn" out of mothballs, now that that attempt to revive an entire "Banana Splits" set doesn't look like it's going to happen on mainstream shelves.

Hmm. Do they have the right to Road Rovers? That's a show a lot of people are waiting for (myself included).

My number one show I want to see released is Earthworm Jim, but that seems extremely unlikely. Apparently a copyright nightmare. (And WB doesn't have the rights anyway, as far as I know.)

Yeah,

It's this kind of kooky stuff that really works well in animation.

It's a mistake to try and do this sort of thing in live-action.

Look at Batman: The Brave and the Bold. I think the best episodes have been the ones with the kooky guest-stars. Way, way more fun than any of the live-action stuff has been for at least 20 years.

No comparison!

These animated shows will hold up 20-30 years from now and people will be wondering why anyone thought the X-Men or the Batman (live-action) films were any good.

Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kids?

Is that serious? Wow...never knew about that! And I thought The Dukes sounded like a pretty off the wall idea.

Well, that's the least appealing to me of all the H-B Warner Archive announcements (though I guess I did watch the show a little), but nice for Pac-Man's many fans.

Coming? The 11/16/10 date suggests it's out this week?

While I'm super-pleased (it's been rumored for release for the past three years), this does only go to show that WB have pretty much given up on releasing catalog titles on regular DVD now in favor of the overpriced WBAC titles. At least it's remastered, which will somewhat take the sting off the cost, but a lack of trailer or Chuck Jones supplement is going to be a shame.
