Actually, I think JK is saying "hey David - check out what Steve has in his hair!"

Shovel. It's a shovel on the ground.

How can you voice an animated character without...voicing an animated character?

Plus, it seemed to me that Rico talked.

OK HERE'S what I was talking about: (PROOF! :o )

For anyone who thinks JK didn't deserve the Tex Avery Animation Award:

It’s very much an homage to the Tex Avery, 1940s style, but taken and made very state of the art through CG animation. It also came from that very stylised look and feel to the design of the characters that led to that squash and stretch and very cartoony approach to computer animation.

Is he talking 'bout Madagascar?

Coz if there's anything that film resembled it was the UPA and Xerox look of the Disney films of the 1960s, NOT Tex Avery!

I think Sony's Open Season looks best at recreating that look.

Also there will be a 10 minute short film with the Penguins playing alongside Wallace and Gromit.

I guess he's talking in a broad, non-specific way. I do get what you're saying, though.

Sequal? Interesting. I wonder what the plot'll be like...

And I think I'm finally gonna get a chance to see Madagascar this weekend. Ugh - I hate waiting so long to see movies like this, but you just can't beat $1.50 a ticket.

I still haven't seen Sith. Not that I really want to, I've never been a huge Star Wars fan...

I was thinking about this and I think that the reason Eps I, II and III ALL pulled in HUGE money is for the same reason that Star Trek: The Motion Picture was actually a huge box-office success. (1980) Back then even though a lot of people and critics said that it was drawn out with lame dialougue and bad characterization, millions of people were very eager to capture the magical feeling of watching the series. (Plus those *incredible* special effects....  )

Ditto for Star Wars, people have such fond memories of Chewie, Han, Luke and Yoda that they'll all sit through a film that has awesome visuals but is BORING and often AIMLESS in most other departments. Not that I think Eps I-III are as bad as Star Trek I, (although Episode I comes close) but I think it's the same idea--high-powered producers exploiting the fans. (that means you George Lucas! )

Well that's just my opinion, hope I didn't offend.

I finally saw it last week...it was actually better than I thought it would be. A nice family flick. The music was good, and it was pretty funny(I'm listening to the soundtrack online as I'm typing this).
