YouTube Goodness
Re: YouTube Goodness
This would have been more fun than some of the bits we got at the Oscars. The Lonely Island were asked to write a song for the show, but after submitting it were told it was not doable. Here's their "storyboarded" version with them doing the voices.
Re: YouTube Goodness
Nickelodeon has made an animated short featuring Breanne Drouhard's wonderful webcomic, Harpy Gee (a weekly serialized 'RPG'-inspired tale which -- IMHO -- is already well on its way to becoming this generation's Bone) ..
Ms. Drouhard also produced, directed & designed the Amethyst: Princess of Gemworld segments for Cartoon Network's DC Nation, awhile back.

You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!
Re: YouTube Goodness
So that was a fun wormhole I just disappeared into!
I kept thinking, "You have to use your hands? That’s like a baby's toy!" So true...!

Re: YouTube Goodness
Absolutely incredible compilation of the emotional high points from fantasy films from the last 15 years or so...set to Sam’s speech from the end of Two Towers.

VERY cool...
"Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift--that is why it's called the present."
Re: YouTube Goodness
Awesome. Very impressive achievement!

Re: YouTube Goodness
And now, for some 'Vimeo' goodness: Batman Dance Party..!

Re: YouTube Goodness
My initial reaction of "beautiful" was a *little* dampened when I realised that it wasn’t stop-motion, but that was still cool. The last shot was cleverly synced to the final "Batmaaaan" in a sly way, too. Nice.

Re: YouTube Goodness
That is one of the greatest things I've ever seen.
Okay, that's maybe an exaggeration. But it's pretty cool.
I love the mixing of eras, and Man-Bat's wings are nicely realized.

Re: YouTube Goodness
VERY interesting take on what a 2018 trailer for Tim Burton’s first Batman film would be like. Extremely well done, (but with MANY spoilers! Lol!
)
Disclosure: I’m actually a staunch Burton Batman fan. I’ve very much enjoyed Nolan’s trilogy, especially TDK, (as amazing as Ledger was IMHO Eckhart was absolutely fantastic) but it can’t touch the 89 or 92 films. Many reasons that I won’t get into here, but probably the number one reason is Keaton’s Batman. Bale was certainly competent playing this role, but the depth, charm, creepiness, quietness, larger-than-life presence and unmistakable humanity displayed by Keaton in both of this character’s alter egos is breathtaking.
I think at the time the film came out a few critics speculated about Nicholson possibly being nominated, but as good as Nicholson was, (and he was excellent) Keaton would actually have been the more deserving performer.
