Very sad all around, as 57 is too young to go. Even sadder that he missed the 20th anniversary of his creation's TV show by just one year...

I hadn't heard about his ALS diagnosis, so I was shocked to hear of his passing. What a shame. But it's great that he saw so much success in his shortened life. His work will live on for a long time.
