That's why I gave up on the game, after a week or two: Dinos, we GOT.

(And..."Only in theaters"? Well, good for them.)

Only in theatres has been a clarion call used in trailers since Disney, especially, started to issue their classics on video. You know that. It’s nothing new. So that people would go to the cinema and not wait for the inevitable DVD, only in theatres or only in cinemas started appearing on trailers — sometimes even spoken in the trailer — and on posters. It’s nothing new or a pandemic thing, as I’m sure you know.

...I DO, Mr. Helperton.

I was just poking ironic fun at the fact that this might be a somewhat outdated teaser trailer, left over from a lot of studio delays (which also seems very likely), using a once-marketable phrase that now seems alien to us.

...or now kind of makes the timely point that *some* films are still going to big screens instead of streaming...

Or, now...maybe not:

Even pre-Covid, any time I heard/saw a trailer telling me the movie is 'Only in Theatres I 'would say 'I dare you to never give it a home release or shown on TV, I dare ya!'

Although I do appreciate the history of the origin on the saying Ben. Thanks

It’s been in practically every Disney trailer since the late 80s/early 90s...!

No silly, hearing it again after all these months with what's been going on. Instead of "insert" streaming service. ;)

Ah. Yeah, it’ll be weird when "only on streamers" becomes the norm...
